I've been stuck at home due to the highways been drifted stuck for the past two days. Just found out that they do have 1 lane open now, and now there is a chance that we could get a round of heavy snow next week.. I'm sick of shoveling snow everyday.

          K....found it....was Nebraska

Nowhere was it colder than in Bismarck, N.D., where wind chills hit a frighteningly frigid 52 below zero and the temperature reached 14 below.

                  Toronto

Toronto got a very little lake effect snow so far this winter. We have about 2" on the ground. I haven't used my little Toro showthrower yet. We have had about 6 dustings of white powder. All the big storms missed us. We have been lucky this year. My Festiva is inside the garage, so I don't care what the weather is like outside. Everyone should have a garage. A pit would also be nice too! My next project.

Tomorrow we are suppose to get maybe eight inches of snow and then 20mph + winds. Trying a different snow strategy this time. You remember that my snow fence drifted the snow into the drive last time. See pic below. Today before the snow arrives I went out and windrowed the existing snow on the wind side of the fence back about forty feet or so. Ive notice in the past when I plow out the drive that blowing snow fills right back in and even causes drift because the the windrows left from from the plowing. We will see how this works. Ive had enough winter, come on spring.

here in western ny DOT has their snow fences at least a 100 feet off the road, and they seem to work well in windy areas, weather in every area is never exactly the same, due to the landscape, so how can there be an exact formula to calculate where to put it up? it looks to close to ur driveway to me, just my though

I probably will move it back 15-20 next year, or move further south.

Well even here on the coast we have gotten a little snow. However, for the past few days it has been in the high 50s to the 60s. I must say it is lovely weather. Perfect time to wash the cars and work on them.
