Well, it's not officially in my driveway yet, but it's mine!! And it's not black.
A little back story here. The previous owner brought the car to the shop where I got it to get some work done so it would pass VA inspection. That work was done, then the car started slinging a fair amount of oil. Diagnosed by the shop as a bad crank seal and VC gasket. They gave the guy an estimate for the work, and he disappeared for a month. Then showed up with the title to the car and signed it over to the shop, saying he bought the car for a cheap run around car, and he had already dumped too much money into it. Timing, as they say, is everything. This car was scheduled to go to the scrap yard this week, as the shop didn't want to do the work for no pay, and they didn't think anyone would want the car with the bad oil leak and high miles. Silly shop.:p
Details- 92 Festiva L Sport? (At least that's what the decal says) 273K miles. Now onto the pictures.
Would you have let this one go to the crusher?? Oh, paid 200 bones for it.

Only rust on the body. Have to get that fixed.

Mudflaps??

And now, for the next one I'm trying to lay hands on. 28K miles. PO bought it after it sat for 4 or 5 years. Dropped a battery in, and tried to drive it. Crappy gas clogged the fuel pump and it quit. PO changed the pump, but not the gas. So, guess what happened next? PO then bought a third pump, did his own wiring, and proceeded to burn up a fair amount of the wiring harness in the engine. He then brought it to the shop for an estimate to undo what he had screwed up. Shop called him back with an estimate, and they have not heard from him for the last 4 months. They are sending him a certified letter that he either needs to come pick up the car, or they are going to treat it as an abandoned car, and get their own title. Anyway, here's that one. Still has the original tires it left the factory with.

What do you think? Twins??
