At this point, the 28K miles car is off the table. But I kind of get the impression if the wiring issue is sufficiently a PITB, my phone might be ringing. Hate to root for a Festy to be a problem....But....

This is kind of a new experience for me, never had an FI Fester, and never had a non Black/Charcoal Gray one.

      Apparently, I can't tell them apart either.:p

Mine is a 90. The 28K Festiva is a 92. The third in the set of triplets at that shop is a 91. All brought there for repairs, and all apparently abandoned.

            Because you asked...

Finally got her home today. Long story, bad weather, work schedule changes, blah, blah, blah. Anyway, here she is.

As I said, it slings a fair amount of oil, but still runs like a scalded dog. Was watching it as it idled in my driveway today, not even sure there is a VC gasket under there. I can literally watch oil seeping out in 2 or 3 spots. Already got the gasket and seals, so that'll all be fixed soon.

Ha ha, check out the bendy straw splice in the washer fluid line.:p That's some quality mechanics at work there. Fortunately, somewhere along the line, a replacement one of those managed to jump into my toolbox at a junkyard. (How does that happen, anyway??)

2/3rds of the fleet. Batstiva is disassembled to the point getting her out of the barn was not an option.
Might have a bit of a problem tho, my wife, who has never had any interest in any of my festivas has expressed an interest in using the new one, after the leaks are fixed, "sometimes"

Kinda hate to do it, cause I may never get it back, but it would then give me an "excuse" to buy my next one.

Ha, noticed that when I was changing my sig. In order too, so I guess the next one will have to be a 91.

Not factory, but pretty well done installation. The cats around here all seem to like it. One, or more of them have been sitting on the sunroof pretty much all day.

Got a little work done to her. First order of business, installed a CD player. Driving without music drives me freaking crazy. Apparently the PO, in his haste to get the old radio out before he abandoned the car, just grabbed the trim bezel and yanked. Effed it all up. Fortunately, thanks to Dean and the pick a part stiva, I happen to have a spare.
Thanks again Dean, you are the Man!!

Pulled the pass. side headlight. Don't know if you can tell it from the pics, but it's got some condensation in it. That'll be gone soon enough.

Guess I'd better show the 89 some love tomorrow, lest she gets jealous. Think she's due for a trip to the car wash. Hopefully, that'll make her happy.

Keep it up. I think your efi needs an 88 grill. You'll grow to love efi when it's hot/cold/whatever. They always run good.

As it happens, I have a spare 88-89 grill on hand. Just trying to decide if I want to try and match the color of the car, or leave it charcoal gray.

Almost forgot I had these, so I guess my 89 will be getting a bath and some bling tomorrow.
