This car had set for around a year and a half. Some dummy left the quarter windows pushed shut but not latched. Well, also at some point some dummy (maybe the same one) decided it a good idea to long-term store a battery in the now swamp like greenhouse type area formerly used to store the spare tire. The board to cover the tire well was gone, but the carpet had been thrown over the hole making it nice and shady down there so it never dried out. Nice! If that wasn't bad enough, while the battery had been vacated before my acquiring the car, the contents of it remained after it had exploded from the likely 150°+ heat of the summer sun. This was the tire well after I removed a plug, drained it and got all that mess cleaned out.
Here it is rust removed and ironically, acid etched again. lol. This time as a paint adhesion treatment on the bare metal.
Cold galv zinc rich primer.

Lotta hassle, but it needed done. I'm glad it is.
