  • Tinted my windows in Photoshop

I couldn't sleep the other night so I decided to get an idea of what my car would look like with tinted windows using Photoshop. I'm really diggin' the blacked out B pillar post and frames. Weren't these originally black from the factory? I know the car has been pained because some it's popping off and I'm assuming they painted the post and frames at the same time.

What do you guys think? Leave the frames white or black them out?

As it is now, other than the new Geo steelies.

    Just the windows tinted.

The tint looks really good! I personally do not like the blacked out B pillar, but that might be because I own a car with a factory blacked out B pillar.
    But unique is always good

Depends on what else you're gonna do with the car. If you're leaving the bumpers black, then I say tint and paint the pillar. If you're gonna paint the bumpers white, then I say just tint, and pull off the body molding!
Oh yeah, then lower it and add some sweet gold wheels!

^^ I'm definitley painting the bumpers white at some point. I haven't liked the black bumpers since day 1. I was thinking about removing the moldings too after seeing how good it's looks on other cars.

            Gold? Ewwwwwww How about Graphite?

Ahhh, ok. Thanks for clarifying that for me.

This thing is weird. It has zero options so I'm guessing it's an L, but it has AC and there are screw holes where it looks like it had the hatch spoiler at one time.

Does this apply to the 88-89?
Both my 88 and 89 have the black pillar and both say just plain L model.

It'll look good either way. Are you gonna spray bomb the bumpers, use a real spray gun, or have a pro do the job? I really want a "real" paint job on my car sometime soon....just can't justify spending that kind of money on it

Sorry, but I have a stock 88 L , and the pillars are factory black!
Zanzer, I like how the windows and pillars look all dark. Go black, with graphite wheels it will look good.

Yep I'm in favor of tinted windows and blcked out piller. The blacked out pillers were on the L plus and LX, and GL models. Although it seems that a few of the L's did get the treatment.

I'll shoot it myself with some PPG single stage. White paint is super cheap since it's a base color. I don't like to use spray paint on large exterior areas because it doesn't hold up to UV very well and if you ever try to spray automotive paint over it you have make sure you strip it all off or you get a really nice "wrinkle coat" finish where the reducer blisters the spray paint.

We can spray your car...but you'll have to strip the rustoleum off of it first

Hope you get good at using that aircraft stripper LOL

What mirrors did you use on it? I'd like to find some that I can paint the same color as the car.
