  • My beloved festarossa time attack/solo car.

    hey all i posted pics of this guy a long time ago but ima post some pics of the bulid process... car was extremley succesfull beating just about everything at the autocross track and competing with vettes and porsche's in time attacks.

      i havnt driven the car in 2 years and it sits in a farmers feild now a days

        Sounds like someone needs to do an intervention.

        Was it bad, or is there something mechanically wrong with it that it's banished to the field? (Or was it sold?)

              they are 1st gen rx7 wheels fastorbust you are correct, modified to fit.

              the car hasnt been touched because all my time has went into this:
              it was just recently ive decided to get back into the festiva game for a DD

                    did you have any vibration issues after modfiying the fb wheels? i have a set and stuck them on my car once, looks good.

                      i had slight vibration issues but nothing that comprimised the handling and braking of the car.....had them kicking around and thought they would look sweet on the festiva they give it a different look thats forsure

                        how did it do at the track, what motor are you running?
                        -90 festiva - bp swap "relentless" (thanks matt) aspire swap, pacesetter, underdrive pulley
                        -90 festiva - surf blue (undetermined destiny) wanna keep but wifey says noooooooo

                            for like the first 4 time attacks ever held on that track the car was unbeatable i was in the same group as porsche turbos and vettes and 3rd gen rx7's, partly because i gokart raced on that track for the last 3 years and had a huge advantage over the other drivers, but once the other drivers got good and they opened up the track and un-chicaned it i started falling behind.... plus some sweet twin turbo'd z's, skylines, 911 turbo's, and 400hp evos took the festiva on the long straights ...

                            at the time i was running a b6 motor with a festiva intake mani... (gobs more tq for autocross but suffered in time attack)
