  • Strippers in Iowa ........

.......get alot of work done today!

I think sc72 was unsure of what kind of stripping we were doing. I meant strip the car so I can take it to the crusher on Monday!

This car has kinda been handed back and forth between me and JCBGrady. Well, he got what he needed, and I see a few parts that shouldn't be wasted. Karl aka sc72, showed up and we decided to strip.....the car....the rest of the way. By nights end, I have the driver's side wheel assembly to remove and this thing is outta here.

And a few of the fleet in the background.

I'm not going to be able to dismantle to the degree you dismantle cars, but I will be grabbing alot of the parts that can be reused.

That rear bumper cover looks to be in decent shape. I'm sure someone around here could use it...
The normal is not always normal... MOST is not ALL... And any job can be hard if you don't have the right tools!!!

That's why we removed the whole trailing arm because I couldn't get the strut bolts to even begin to loosen. Reckon I'm gonna have to break out the sawzall to get the spindles off.

Yeah, that car looked pretty decent until you got underneath of it. It was in pretty bad shape.

                              Strippers aka. Midwest Dismantlers Inc.

Doug, it was a Great Day spent the morning at the local swap meet, bought a pair of Big Chief heads, spent the day joking around and salvaging Festy parts as for the Festy engine,it was well ventilated still some good parts to be had.The girls ordered Pizza so we cleaned up the tools and called it a night.Dan is a real task master,he has an aspire to strip and i bought a 91 L and it's even Blue, well the roof is Blue, the rest is kinda rust Orange, Karl safty Guy, no patch panels here, has a great drive train,i will be stalking the shelves with this car. Gotta go soups on. Karl
