  • Pics of my 1990 Festiva

Hi all! Seeing everyone posting pictures of their festiva's lately made me go out tonight and wash my little baby and snap a few shots. She isn't anything fancy yet, but she is mine!

Recently replaces both axles, all the wheel bearings around it, master cylinder, wheel cylinders, rotors, brakes, tie rods, ball joints, etc Still need to put some new struts in her, but will ASAP.

My brother in law gave me these kewl 14" rims and tires! Sure changed the over all look of it, and wow what a ride difference! Only prob is the wheels hitting in the rear, but hope new struts will fix that!

Anyways here she is. Thinking about calling her GeekMonkey

Nice! And, you are doing the important stuff first which is the smart way to do it. And those wheels look good.

Very nice!! soon you'll be upgrading it, maybe start with different factory options then slowly work your way into brake upgrades, engine swaps................ it's an addiction that never ends

                      Welcome to the site!!

Thank you!! Im slowly getting there, bit by bit! There is a red Festiva in town thats kinda beat, but has a rear spoiler, next time i see it im going to leave a little note offering to buy it off it. Would sure love to get one!

I want to put a real stereo in it next, and then see about the brake upgrade, only prob with that is my wheel bolt pattern will change and then i cant run these rims. LOL

Would love to do an engine transplant, just dont have a shop or anywhere to do it as of yet. SOMEDAY THOUGH!

                        Just love these little cars!!!

                        Thanx everyone!!

                          Welcome! Nice ride!

Do your rear wheels scuff inside the fenderwells in the back when you go over bumps? If so, you probably need some newer springs, or to go to Aspire rear shocks, which have a higher spring perch and would raise your back end a bit.

                            Hello Karl,
Thank you for the kind words, and the information.
Yes they do hit, i took a hammer and rolled the lips the best i could, but my rear struts are TOAST! so was thinking about getting new ones ASAP. What year Aspire ones would be best to get to raise it abit more? Do i need to use Aspire Springs also? or will the stock Festiva ones work?

If your tires are hitting the fender lips, it may be a matter of tire size and wheel offset.

Please post your tire size and see if you can find the wheel offset. If you are running, say, 185/60-14s (or worse, 185/65s or 70s) and have a 35 or less offset (this will make the tires stick out more), that may be the problem and you need to roll your fender lips more (or cut them) or raise the rear up more than usual.

I sent you an answering PM, but I didn't realize this last part.
