wow thanks for that jim, your a life saver. i had another question, i noticed when i was looking at the replacement igntion modules there are 2 different ones, one for the original distributer and one for the service disty. is there any way to tell which i have? (short of buying both $130 modules and compairing lol)

not really sure. honestly, I never noticed a difference in the two. See if you can find a part# on the dizzy somewhere. If it starts with an F4 or F5, its probably original. Anything else is probably service.
