i did the same thing to my wheels in 06,on my red ST. looks cooler on your car cause it contrasts more. my car put down 153whp and 155wtq with basic bolt-ons.

i plan on doing the 2.3 swap with a header and cams and ill probly call it a day.

that dyno was with balance shaft delete,intake,header,garbage exhaust that probably robbed me some power,and a xcal 2 tune. it ran a 9.6@75 in the 1/8 mile.

not bad , with my steeda sri and mbrp exhaust no tune and bald tires i ran a 10.8 in the 1/8th.

why would you delete a balance shaft??? You do know why its there right?

its there to keep the car from vibrating alot. the 2.3 ranger motors are the same but they dont have it because its a truck and people who drive trucks arent worried about vibrations.

Balance shaft delete is popular with 1st gen dsm also.

I do engine vibrations work all day every day, lets just say after knowing what I know about the subject, I'd leave it in and maybe even find an aftermarket damper too!

2.3 duratecs are internally dampened i believe. theres been no reports if any failures due to removing them,hell COSWORTH sells the bs delete kit i bought. they dont make stuff without research and development.
