  • Goodbye old friend..

Well okay don't know about a friend but this is the first time I've seen one of my cars in a junkyard. Bought in Nov of 06 for 300. The guy thought it was the clutch ended up the wheel bearings on the front. Yeah as you can see how it on the tow dolley I found that out. Also the fuel pump was locked up. Ran and drove great after those were replaced. I thought I only had it a year but according to the pics a year and half and about 20k. Sold it with 210k to a teenage girl for $800. Looks like it had a hard time.. I kinda figured it would but truthfully it was really rusty. Came from Ohio originally. The passenger fender and door had been replaced. The interior and engine really dirty. Sad to see it crushed but I figured it would eventually.

Hasn't been crushed yet.. probably just put out. BTW it has the Aspire automatic's front brakes. It's in the Upickit in KCMO.

Never actually seen one of mine in a upullit yard, but once I did see the hood off my old old Taurus wagon on another car once after I scrapped it. I had painted a huge American flag on it right after 9/11 and then a couple of years later after it finally died and I had it hauled to a yard. Several months later I saw the hood on another car. I was glad at least that part of the car lived to see another day.
          No festiva for me ATM...

A friends Thunderbird was put in a Pick n Pull. I went and grabbed the $400 shocks and $300 springs off it for $50.

If I had a 5 speed again I wouldn't hesitate grabbing them. But with my auto it stops pretty darn good as it is. They auto trans is a really good second brake. Since I'm driving both till I get my dad's 5 speed fixed it's almost hard to believe the difference in the two.

Thats a plus, thicker vented rotors.
