I picked up a fixer upper. I just hate to see them go to the scrappers. Its an '88 L. I will be going through alot of stuff on it making sure everything is ok. Should I tint the windows?

Yes! Tint the windows!! Come summertime, you'll be thanking yourself you did. It's like driving in a greenhouse with no tint, and even if you have A/C it won't get very cold because of the sun pouring in.

That car looks line mine - minus the rust, racing stripe, and dents!

    Regards,

How much did you pick it up for? Looks pretty good, besides the usual Festiva dents Yeah, tint the windows, I'm getting ready to do the same to mine!
Congrats, you saved the life of another Festiva

No idea, but you can buy the tint at an auto parts store and do it yourself for under $75.

I spent around $200 to have mine done. I opted for the more expensive and fade-resistant tint

they did a fantastic job though, the car looks sweet

The guy wanted $200 for the car and separate 120k mi. '89 B3 motor and 5spd. and other parts from a LX. He had it stored inside, but when he went to show it to me it had got pushed out in the alley and vandalized. Broke off the wipers took the radiator. Broke the turn and lights wiper levers on the column, headlight and taillight. I'm gonna fix everything up give it new plugs and wires. Change the fluids. Put some new tires on. Other stuff it needs as I find it. Watch the F/S section in a couple weeks.
