  • New Festiva to the Family

    Hi Everyone,

I wanted to introduce all of you to the new Festiva that I recently obtained. It is a 1993 LX, but has power mirrors, split seats, and sport interior. It is amazing!
Since I already have a 1989 Festiva with a BP g5mr tranny swap, I need to figure out what I want to do to this car. I want to do something different, maybe a turbo setup.
I will try to get better pictures up tonight.

double check the build date there Timmay, those are '90 LX seats you have there and the 91-93 years were GL, not LX
    Trees aren't kind to me...

    currently: 2 88Ls (Scrappy and Jersey), 88LX, 90L(Pepe), 91L, 91GL (Skippy) 93 GL Sport (the Mighty Favakk), 94 (Bruce) & 95 Aspire SEs, 97 Aspire (The Joker),
94 Justy 4WD, 87 Fiero GT, plus 2 parts cars. That's my fleet.

In Canada there were Festivas that had all the '90 LX stuff that were not '90's and they even say LX.

I checked it. It is a 1993 LX. It even says LX on the back. Pretty sweet!

Timmay, why not a B6 swap with stock transaxle since you already have a BP? Think of rising gas prices, especially if the "Egyptian troubles" compound.

More power and almost as good fuel economy.

Question: Did the Canadian models keep the "smoothie" tails, too? Those look like smoothies.

No they are not smoothie taillights sadly. I really want to do a turbo set up in this car. I have been thinking about either a b3t or a bpt. The only reason I wasn't for the b6t is that it is the same amount of time to do a bpt but the bpt has more power. I could be wrong with my logic though.

Here are more pictures as promised.

First of all we have the night of the purchase drive.

And then a couple days later in the morning.

The color is a darker blue then what the pictures show. I am very happy to have this car!!! It has been amazing.

I was thinking the exact same thing. Step 1 though is find the time to go to Westiva. I thought bringing the 1989 festiva would be fun as it has had alot of work done to it.

Congrats on the buy, that is a sweet looking Festy and the right color to. Good luck
I do really like the colour as well. It was a great find at a great price
