This is a 5 line skink. caught it basking in the sun in my folks yard. Caught him, showed him to the girls at home then let him go.

Ive got a lot of them around the place. Very cool to have. Mine look just like yours. I watched an epic battle one time between a skink and a large spider, the skink won. Their break off tail escape tactic is awesome.

That it looked like a snake at first sight. I once was peeing outback and half way through I looked down and there was a snake 1ft from me.
