I found this guy while I was testing my aspire swap. I brought him to my folks' house, showed my girls, took pics, and took him back to the creek. He was crossing the road when I found him.

Good for you for saving that Turtle! Some people would just want to run him over. When I lived in Texas I would always stop for a Turtle in the road and take him to safety.
I have a small painted turtle as a pet that was found in a yard two years ago!! I have stopped several times in the past to move a turtle out of the street!
Lol! Virginia does have lots of wildlife as Dr Max said. I'm drawn to them/interested in them. I love to catch them and or take pics and share them. Thus the tons of animal pics!
My son had 2 russian tortoises that got too big for the terrerium. We put them in pillow cases with some packing stuff, shipped them FEDEX overnight to a turtle rescue/home in Houston. Still alive today (7 years later):p
