At the meet we had 17 festies, 1 aspire, a wrx, a protege, and a grand prix. We also had 1 to split off from the caravan. We had a good turnout, but this certainly isn't the biggest. That would be festiva madness. Bring the car unfinished! Nobody's gonna hate on a work in progress. It just has to get you there!

As a newbie, pls forgive me for asking, but is Ohiostiva the single biggest gathering each year? Can't wait until I can attend. Work situations dictates I won't be able to make it for 2 more years. Should have my Festy all restored by then. Looks like everyone had a great time. Would LOVE to see the expressions on peoples' faces as dozens of Festys go zooming by them on the highway! :geek:
First weekend in Oct is Festiva Madness in Raleigh, NC. Much bigger. From where you are, it'd be worth it to fly in on Fri, then fly back out on Sunday. You could easily arrange for someone at Madness to pick you up at the airport.

Brickdog, the guy in the Geo Metro shirt is Dave, Wendy's husband. They drove the pristine, white 1995 Aspire SE (the only Aspire to make this meet). They also own two Metro convertibles, and I bet they're as nice as the Aspire is! BTW, he also brought a bag of charcoal which we didn't need. But we were covered!

At Festiva Madness Four last year, there were at least 50 Festivas, four Aspires and over 100 people!

This year should be a tad bigger, we hope!

I just found it a humorous that he was wearing a geo metro shirt at the meet. I know some people are die hard chevy fans or ford. I personally dont care as long it is american. Although some foreign cars seem to be outlasting our vehicles these days.

It doesn't get more American that a Koren made, Mazda designed econobox with a Ford badge and a fake Spanish name! :p

Nah, it's not my unfinished Festy that's holding me up. It's literally work. Getting ready to head somewhere overseas for a year this fall and I've got a lot of training to do before I leave, plus a lot to do on a home that we've been remodeling for over 4 1/2 years. (PS - Here's a hint for anyone out there: don't remodel your home yourself unless you know what you're doing. It won't be a smooth ride. AM there, DOING it now, and it sucks...). My wife would shoot me if I went to an out-of-state Festiva rally with our current home situation.

Anyway, thanks for the rally info. Definitely something I want to do in the future!

Anyone who wants to come to Festiva Madness and won't have their car ready, let me know, I am in need of extra drivers for my cars! Last year my bro in law drove one and my son in law drove one, now they own Festivas so I need some new drivers.
