  • New stuff!

Just got in my kyb gr2 struts, civic short shifter(already installed), civic coilovers, and comp cam all off ebay.

    kyb's

7 in springs, dont know the spring rate, but was wondering if i could run these for a while?

    everthing, short shifter works good!

Also do the coilovers just go right on to the struts or is there some kind of bushing or spacer bettween the bottom of the coilover and the were the coilover rest's on the strut? thanks

They normally sit on what's left of the spring perch once it's been ground down. The cutting of the spring perch isn't necessary, it just looks cleaner.

The rate on those springs is probably something like 450 or a little higher. The set I had, we measured at nearly 600.

Obviously, the threaded sleeve goes on the bottom.

The lock nut should have a raised ridge on one surface. This surface goes against the top nut, so there isn't binding between the two flat surfaces of the perch nut and lock nut.

You can run them almost indefinitely... But each time you adjust them, you need an alignment.

Stretch an o-ring over the strut tube to take up any slack between The strut tube and the threaded sleeve, and to keep dirt, water, etc out. Use one at each end. Alternatively, black tape.
