  • Whatcha guys think?

First of all, I graduated!! This is my entire immediate family.

Then last night my shifter "fell" so I took the day today to fix it, then take some pictures. Then thought, I wonder what it would look like if the rims were a different color, I mean, I do like the silver, but I like to change things up a bit. What do you guys think? Leave them silver, or what color?

    Congratulations Josh!

I like 'em silver, but paint is relatively cheap. They could look good in white, black, or some other color. You could also try some "highlights" or "shadowing" on them.

I have a set of Miata seven (solid) spokes too. I'll probably leave mine silver. I may paint my Daisies, however.

The silver on it will likely never peel or chip like a rattle can paint job. So I say keep them silver.

                Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I say keep them silver, or paint them white and or black

Also... I'm sure you've seen, but if you haven't there is a write up on fixing the "falling" shifter issue. I believe it is a sticky? It's pretty straight forward.

I think silver will be the way it is! And charlie, yes, I did see the sticky, I pretty much did it almost the same way skeeter did.

I'm not the biggest fan of the rims on the 64', but they are growing on me, also, that car has air suspension so it can go way low are high hehehe

Silver looks good but gun metal I think would look pretty good. Never use rattle can tho... use some real paint.

Congratulations Josh.... brings back memories..(49 years ago for me).

Before you forget it, sit down and write a note to yourself to be opened 50 years from now (you don't have to put a lot of thought into it, just say what every you feel like saying). Put it in an envelope along with some little memento that means something to you now. Write "To be opened in 2061" and stash it away in a box where you keep your important papers (like your birth certificate and your diploma).
If you feel ambitious you might write one to yourself to be opened in 25 years too.
