    So,

I always find it interesting to see what cars people have had in the past, I feel it can tell a little about why you drive what you do now & why you love it. If nothing else, it gives a little insight in to what takes up a big part of our every day lives.

If you don't have photos of the actual cars you drove, just post similar ones from google hehe.

I will start. (sorry to the Honda haters, i've had quite a few)

First up, my 1997 Honda Civic. This was my first car after I got my license.. back then it was still cool to have clear tail lights and crappy decals on your car, so I did just that. I chose to get in to debt to purchase this car as I wanted something newish & reliable.

I became obsessed with the car no matter how average it was, lets be honest, we've all done that with our first cars! I soon grew an interest for driving fast & joined car clubs.. where this happened late one night on a windy road in the middle of nowhere.. and yes, i lived!

After this nasty accident I didn't want to rush back in to the car scene so I bought something i knew my brother had wanted forever as we both had learned to drive in one. A 1976 Mazda 323.. This thing was pretty mint, granny driven, i loved it.. until it was stolen from the roadside one day

I felt I was ready to get back in the car scene, and with a pretty good insurance pay out i decided to upgrade from my 97 civic so I bought a 96 Integra, a MUCH nicer car as far as quality goes.. Drove this car for a few years until it had high kms, I sold it for 5k before it caused me any issues.

I spent most of that 5k on a holiday to Thailand with some friends... when I came back, i was in need of a car but had not much money to do it.. I found a 1987 Honda Civic, this became my back yard project. After about 1 year of ownership, I decided to move to Canada, I didn't want to sell the car in the off chance I had to come back home so I gave it to my ex girlfriend to drive around in, once I had decided to stay in Canada, I made her pay me for it haha

After 4 months jobless in Canada I was super short on cash so I decided to buy something I knew, another old civic.. picked her up for $500 which was about 1/3 of what I paid for mine back home... i LOVE how cheap cars are over here.

I drove this around on temporary permits for a while until I landed myself a good job. So good in fact they decided to take pitty on the old civic and give me a company car, a 2003 Honda Civic Coupe

After a year of hard work and driving around the Company car i decided I wanted a project car, something to call my own, so I was looking at buying a 91 Miata.. after sharing these thoughts with my work, they decided to instead give me my 'dream car' something I never thought i'd own, or at least not until i was 50 and going through my midlife chrisis, my baby, my 03 Honda S2000

Now.. the moment you have all been waiting for. The Festy.

I got this as I started to get an itch for a project car again, seeing as I couldnt tinker with my work car, and well, why would i? That & I wanted to teach my girlfriend to drive in a car that was small, good on gas & not my S2000.

My plans for this car has developed and changed, I now hope to do a BP swap, set it up for handling and do some track / slalom work in it.

    The End.

A short list of some of the "neat cars" I have or have had in the past

1963 buick , 401 nail head ( sitting behind my parents barn, first car)
                1955 chevy, 327 SBC ( sold)
                1965 Nova SS 283, 350, 383, 427 and now looking into 540 ( still eats money )
1988 Festiva SHO swap ( another money pit)
1970 Torino Brogham, 429 CJ 4 speed one of 3 made ( got totaled sitting in front of my house in 1985 , sold engine and tranny rea is in the Nova )
                1969 / 1970 Fairlady Z ( japan version of 240 Z) car number 000144
1970 Opel GT ( project car havent started)
                1968 GTX ,440 car shell ( May sell )
1976 dodge aspen ex police car ( lots of fun, got totaled by ex wife)

No spitters were I work, you swallow it all. The Company feels if you already have it in your mouth why waste it.
