Trip to the yard

Went to the big yard here today. Scored a whole 2002 P5. My wife and my friend who started the facebook festiva ftw page, Justin2129 both have DD Protege5s. Pulled the front hub assy and a drivers side door panel for Justin. Hope to bring it home in 2 weeks.

I always have my radar on. He was right at the P5. I have a technique. I get within "striking" distance and do a a quick cupped hand stab at them. He was cool! I haven't seen this species here. He looked like a TX lizard. Kind of like a horned toad.

This is some of his "bank account" He doesn't have to pay taxes on it if it's still sitting as parts. This was 6 BIG truck loads of aluminum. He has piles and piles and LOADS and TRUCKS and DUMPSTERS full of copper, aluminum, etc etc. It boggles the mind.

First gen RX7. SC72 wants me to score one for him. It's a pretty common upgrade.

What year is that red festy in the first pic? See if he will take $100 for it as I don't care about a title. Most likely I will part it out after I get the mirrors and seats anyway. If he won't sell it for that see if he will take a Metro on trade.

Looking at that yard makes me dizzy. ALL of my yards have the cars arranged by make and model with the exception of 1. I bet it takes a while to find anything there, BUT I guess that is half the fun for me. Looking at EVERYTHING out and back with a load of stuff.

After 3 trips I have all the "keepers" filed away in my mind. They let you drive the yard so it's a lot easier.
