  • Got a free mower on Craigslist

Put some gas in it. It poured out of a hole in the carb. Tried to pull start it. No luck yet. I'll take it to my dad's garage and have her going in no time. Everything is there except the air filter and cover.

So can anybody help me identify this mower? I called sears. They said it was more than 20 years old and that they could not tell me the year or the HP.

looks like an old Snapper / Simplicity WonderBoy. I know they made private label mowers for JCP/Monty Wards/Sears.

That could be a really nice mower if you tore it down and rebuilt it. I'm with you about Craigslist, man. Don't buy new, buy Craigslist! Yeah, you might have to recondition it, but you've spent less, AND it's yours! AND it's paid for! AND you paid less! AND you made friends (sometimes)!

The guy I bought my cargo trailer from was a very talkative man, and I learned that he has a home business raising worms for fishing. There are lots of kinds of worms!

Not to hack your thread there, Paul.

Often they are. That's why when I sell I meet in a very public place. I got lucky this time. These folks were quite normal.

I am a talker too. You get two of us together and it usually lasts. And if the conversation starts with or turns to festivas it can last 1-2 hours!
