How big is your garden spot? That's alot of groceries you got there! We've been pulling some monster zucchini out of ours and made zucchini cake. I love it ! Got around 15 lbs of raspberries waiting in the freezer for jam. I can't wait to get a bigger yard, I will not have any grass

Mine is 40 foot by 50 foot , half in raised beds. Im going bigger next year though. Going to an auction the first of next month to try and buy a five foot land pride tiller for the tractor. Thinking about raising some chickens too for eggs and meat.

I tilled in the spent part of my garden and planted a second crop of fast maturing ( under 60 day ) lettuce, spinach, sugar peas, etc. Not sure how it will work out, we'll see. Hopefully no frost before holloween. I can cover most of it fairly easy to extend the season if needed. The peppers are still producing. Might plant some garlic for harvest next summer. Looks like I might get a rain on the new plantings. The new tiller worked great.

Awesome! I always enjoy your pics and updates. We have been dehydrating more. our lemon drop peppers are still producing, and Yvette blanched and froze some tomatoes today.

Good question, I guess Im done with the research phase, time for the school of hard knocks. I trapped 18 coons this summer so they might have a chance now. I need to get on that.

I've eaten a lot of critters but never bear, coon, possum, or groundhog.
I've had antelope, moose, frog legs, gator, pheasant, quail, grouse, dove, squirrel, rabbit, deer, and turkey.
