I've been driving this 1990 for almost 7 years now. It was the girlfriends car but she let me have it as I was driving 55 miles one way to work 5 days a week. I've replaced the front end suspension, alternator, 2 batteries and 2 sets of tires since then. Also found the hood, the original was rusted and hail damaged, front left fender and drivers door plus the 2 front seats in back of an old lot in MN. Together, they cost me 2 cases of Coors Lite! I have since moved from MN. to S.C. and brought the car with me. Had to change the instrument cluster because the speedometer went crazy on me. Oh, and last year, the fuel tank developed a leak so that had to be replaced. Love my little car, the g/f calls it the Muppet Mobile. But at 46+ MPG with 194,000, it just keeps going and going and going.

Welcome Dave. The really good news is that the average lifespan of a festiva is 300,000 miles. I know of 11 with over 500,000 miles.
