You're right the underneath is 'toast'. Cosmetics you can fix but structural corrosion is bad news. Especially on unibody cars. I brought home a 93 LX (auto trans unfortunately) much like yours 5 years ago but it has yielded a gold mine of parts and been a wonderful disassembly practice piece. One of my 93Ls received all the upholstery and door panels pronto along with the alloy wheels.
Let me know if you want to part with the instrument cluster. The one I put in recently is backlit (much nicer than the regular dash) and includes the only warning buzzer that I have any use for; key is out and lights are on.

yes it does, but i really took a liking to this one, well i'll get over it. I tried to order one from FourGreen for $5 but that didn't happen, so ya finding one was gratifying. It will be good for parts for someone.Last edited by sc72; 08-23-2011, 07:45 AM.An idea can turn to dust or magic, depending on the talent that rubs against it.

That car isn't unsalvageable. Another set of rails removed from another car will weld in, if you have time/money/tools. If not, cut away all the rust, box the frame, and then weld a crossbeam. You should be fine.In love with a MadScientist!:thumbright:
There's a fine line between breathtaking ingenuity and "That's the stupidest thing I've ever seen!"

yup you would be right, the only reason you don't see it, is because the carpet doesn't have a hole in it, you would not want to push down to hard or you would be doing the Flintstone shuffle. An idea can turn to dust or magic, depending on the talent that rubs against it.
