Not as bad as the pics make it look....just some surface rust from sitting in the guys garage. Should clean up just fine.

Willy it looks like its all surface rust, no need to junk, just get a wire wheel and some por15 it will seal it up and good as new! if you try swapping to another body your going to have to have to make frame for the rear end to bolt to like the previous owner did. It looks to be a nice cage too. the cage will help keep the car rigid.

holes rusted through in the rear quarters....bottom of doors...dented fenders....roof caved in a bit...interior completely ripped out.
My car is rust free and ready to go except that I have the engine ready to pull and swap. The rear part of the frame just needs to be boxed in for the rear suspension. Front struts and XR2 hubs will swap right over.

Not putting a cage in mine...going to sell it as well as the rims and tires.

I was wandering when you were gunna start on that lol

BTW who was the previous owner who did all the swaps to it?

                    1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
                    1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

Thats a hell of a job to to all this to have the independent susp.

I hope it was worth it.

And disc rear brakes would be my motive. Just for looks mostly since a Festiva stock drum is tiny!

it was already in the car I bought....but I will be putting it into my car once I get the motor swap done.
Does not look to hard to me....the Festy frame was boxed in on 3 sides and the holes were tapped it looks like. Then the rear end was bolted in. Rear discs and independent suspension. Plus it has Capri lowering and adjustable struts all the way around.

First step is the motor though....then the fronts and then the rear. Then the NOS.....hehehe.
