ok sold the samurai for 2800.00 on CL & the guy drove all the way from raleigh to get it(5 hours away) i paid with taxes & title 1300.00 appx two weeks ago for it & sold the 84 b2000 for 795.00 the same day paid 525.00 for it. today i bought this one owner 99 caddy deville with 135,000 miles & in great condition(after 6 hours of cleaning) for 800.00 including tax & title i have to put new headlights in 120.00 shipped ebay & thats it. it does have the 300 h.p. northstar engine in it(no it dosent run hot) & it will fly for a 5200 lb. car. i hope to get 2400.00 - 2800.00 for it on CL

do you have a hard time starting the engine in that car? a buddy of mine has one and it takes forever to start... tons of cranking.

In my state you are limited to about 3 flips per year then you need a license to do so. Congrats on the mega flipping sounds like you are doing awesome, I really want to start but I have no capital and don't know which cars to choose.

How do you go about finding cars? Do you just simultaneously use craigslist and the blue book?

yeah im waiting to get a letter from the dmv!:nono: i only use CL & i always take cash in hand when making offers, it really makes a difference. actually i started with about 1200.00 & in the last year i have sold about 12 cars & made money on all of them except a jeep cherokee which was a lemon & a rusty festiva which i barely broke even on. its risky when buying cars for 600-1500.00 b/c if something goes wrong your sunk! ive been very lucky to say the least b/c im no mechanic to be able to do my own repairs, except small stuff.

lol yeah if i lived closer to paul we would have a business! & i could quit my jobdrool of course you have to remember that most cars you go look at aren't worth buying & you've wasted all that time & gas. but the positives outweigh the negatives. i went & looked at a festy today on CL in asheville for 600.00 that was advertised as good condition JUNK!

CL is the best for flipping... as long as you don't get attached to the cars, which is what I usually do. Thats why we have so many cars at our house lol. I never pay more than $500. I don't usually make much back more than what I have in one, but delivering pizza I can put 20000 miles on a car in just a few months. So thats what I get out of it. A few thousand miles, then sell it for about what I have in it, parts+purchase price.

I ran up a little over 40k in 10 months in my old silver BP car. Its a little harder to track these days since in the past year I've driven Babystiva, Miata, MX6, Astro, Accord HB, and probably some others I've forgotten.

The main rule is if you are a known non-tipper, if we take two deliveries at a time, you are gonna have to wait on yours... we will even drive go straight past your house to the other house first, then catch yours on the flip side. Thats about it though, we're not too vengeful at the PJs I'm working at now, but at my old dominos back in the day a lot of guys let the drinks roll around in the floorboard till they got to the house.
