I can't get over the widespread appeal (still!) of these little cars, aside from their being inexpensive, relatively easy work on, fuel misers, big inside, and being fun to drive. But they're old now.
I proudly had a 67 Austin Mini decades ago that was similarly fun and lost a wheel one night while driving home from a ski trip. The owner of the 65 Mustang that stopped to pick us up just could not believe that the skis (that wouldn't fit at all inside his car) had come from inside a tiny Mini.Comment
