  • Couple of pics of the BPT car

Just did the suspension and brakes this past week. FMS springs and KYB GR2's and the aspire brake swap. Right now it is setting on some honda wheels I grabbed from the junkyard a while ago. 175/70/13's. I have a set of miata wheels and Toyo Proxes T1R 195/45/14's for it. The only problem is I'm still waiting on my wheel studs. They were back ordered from Summit and I won't have them till sometime next week.

Quite an improvement on the handling and more control during acceleration. The brakes are still settling in and are getting better with each stop.

Here it is with the miata wheels and the Toyo T1r 195/45/14's. Too bad I have to take them off, the front studs are only holding them on by a few threads. Can't wait for my studs to arrive.

When I put my Aspire alloys on Lux, I noticed that my Aspire lug bolts were also only engaging maybe two turns into the hub. I had to grab eight longer aftermarket bolts off of the Mutt.

What gives? Aspire bolts and alloys on an Aspire suspension hub? Hardly any bolt depth to attach them. Don't make no sense!

On the back bolts, there is plenty of engagement. No problem there.

I plan to convert to studs too.

Here are some clearance pics. Tires are 195/45/14's and the rims are 14x5.5" with a 45mm offset. Sorry pics are a bit blurry.

Wow, it looks like you have a lot more clearance than I was thinking.

I wasn't sure if the 40mm offset rx7 wheels I was looking at would fit, but if yours are 45 and just as wide then they should fit fine. I might even be able to squeeze 205's in there.

Have you done any hard cornering with those yet to see if they rub?

They are too far away to rub.

I had 175/70/13's with steel Honda rims on and they did rub the spring perch when cornering. There were marks on the perches from those tires.
