A couple days back the wife and i drove over to Knoxville to see the new Tony Stuart exhibit at the Sprint car Hall of Fame, as we were crossing the lower dam bridge we saw these Eagles looking for dinner, it's amazing the size of fish these birds can carry.

            Eagles

Thanks Danny, the next to last pic with all the Eagles in that tree is close to 300 yards and not that clear, i have a pic that i can't find at this moment, that has 18 Eagles in one tree, the shot is maybe 100 yards and the Birds are crystal clear, the Eagle population in Iowa has gotten huge and a blast to see, it's impressive to hear them call to each other, What a sound.

                    Those pictures are awesome!

Tony Stewarts House is right behind mine. Our yards touch. Of course this is the house he grew up in but you still see him around. He drives his quarter midget around the neighborhood fairly frequently. His actual house is out in the country all fenced up with a private lake and what not.

Cool Karl, The Missouri Conservation Dept. holds "Eagle Days" at a local lake. Ive always wanted to go but never seem to remember the date. Its a chance to see these birds up close and get interesting facts about them.

                        Eagles

Thanks Shadran, The Army Corps of Engineering puts on an Eagle days program in the spring, i'll see about going to that show and getting more pic's. There are so many Eagles in our area, that it's common place to see them roosting or flying, heck Red Tail Hawks are everywhere. I don't take this for granted, only a few years ago, there were none in this area.

I hear we have some snowy owls this winter too. I think this strange winter has changed their zones some.

                            Eagles

Thanks everyone for the kind words.

Dan, maybe this summer our paths will cross again, then we can throw back a couple shots of the liquid kind.

Charlie, that would be great to see the man himself making laps in a race car aroung town.

                              Snowy Owls

Fresh your right, there is a fella here in town that spends every moment he can out by the lake, he got a couple great shots of what he says is a Snowy Owl, then put them on the window at the drive up bank. Great looking Bird.
