Rakfint, I'm glad you didn't lose your new toy! Your car looks brand new inside. Looking at those pictures, I think painting the rest of the trim in that color (wherever you said it didn't quite match) would do great. If you bought a vinyl shift boot and painted it the color of the doors, you'd really set that interior off!Last edited by DriverOne; 03-19-2012, 11:33 PM.In love with a MadScientist!:thumbright:

After painting my door cards a lighter shade of tan it was bugging me that my rear door inserts, arch covers & seat did not match so I started work at painting everything the new lighter shade.
You'll see the darker (original) colour in the middle of the rear seats creating a 2 tone affect, still unsure if I like it or not but it'll do for now.
While I had everything apart I also painted the black door buckets.

Paint the centers to match the body color. Inherently ricer, but in all actuality when it's properly done it's well worth the effort. In love with a MadScientist!:thumbright:

So just after all this talk of the rear pockets, I removed them.
I have been without music in this car since i've owned it but I decided it's finally time to change that.
I live in a questionable area, so for this reason I wanted to be careful about having stereo gear on show in fear someone may break in, in fact I usually leave my car with no valuables in it and unlocked so that way nothing is broken in an attempt.
I plan on installing the deck in the glove box, but I was struggling for ideas on how / where to mount speakers when I decided on the following.
Mounted behind are 6x9 PPI speakers (thanks Justin) I didn't get any photos as it look fairly ghetto back there.
How it looked before.

May I offer a suggestion? You can buy subwoofer box carpeting/covering that passes sound through much better than the wood (although that's gorgeous!) with a few holes inside. You could add the carpeting to the wood so it just looked like trim. Man, I love this car... If only there were more of them...In love with a MadScientist!:thumbright:

DriverOne, behind this is actually a wood structure with a hole where the speaker center is. The woodgrain you see is actually just a decal, there is no wood covering the speaker. Pretty convincing though obviously :p
