She does have some cancer, and her markers are in the house waiting to be put in, and the headlight too. I still think she is beautiful in her own right. Telling a story with every ding, and spot of surface rust. I love her, and I think she loves me back, considering all we've been through. Sorry I took that more personal then it should have been taken, but I love my Festiva, as with every vehicle I've owned in the 3 years I've been driving. I have a different level of connection with my vehicles. Although nothing like the guy on the wierd habits show who LITTARLY loved his car, in a way no car should ever be put through lol.

This car was also my very first car, owned by my Great Grandmother before me, always been in MN :/. In the near future once my shop is set up, I will begin the restoration, complete restoration that is.

Also this reminds me I need to find a hubcap for that drivers side wheel. Time for a WTB ad! lol

sidenote: The lines are the shadows from the trees by my driveway, in case you didn't know lol.

      Thanks, Mike

no offense indended, believe me, i'd love to see a restoration thread. it just, in the first pic, it looks so sad and in need of a good home. Looks like you'll be that good home and i applaude you for it.

Turtle Wax Ice, the liquid stuff is super easy to work with, works on paint and plastic. Looks like new!

I agree with Arty. When I looked at the first picture I couldn't help but go, "awww" like I was looking at a puppy with three legs or something. Lol. I think it's the color of the picture, the corner lights missing and the "patina". That picture makes your car look like a refugee. I like the stripes on the side! I'm glad that you love your Festiva like a good friend and that you plan to give it lots of "healthy" love. Looking forward to seeing more!

looks like it has a good body and still go. you better start cleaning the headlights and replacing those busted warning lights from the front to the rear to look it's active and on the go even when parked.

I put them in, waiting to get a good/decent camera to take pictures again.

Lookin good mike! Oh, and a little trick for those tiny rust spots, take a green scotchbrite scratchy pad and rub off the rust, it keeps the paint but scratches off the rust, the paint won't be perfect, but it'll be better than the rust haha

^ and rust oleum Professional high performance enamel (like 5 bucks a can at home depot) matches the stock white paint really well and is easy to spray. Tweak has several parts that are painted with that paint.
