When they released the CBR 250 I almost went out and bought one. Keep us updated on your gas mileage.

I was wondering how long it would take honda to catch on to kawasakis ninja 250 that has been sold out for months. I heard when they first came out there was a 6 month wait. It's not you that makes it unsafe, it's the other drivers.

How's it compare to a 250 Ninja Joe?

Here is an article on the ninja vs cbr
Cycle World compares the Kawasaki Ninja 250R and Honda CBR250R on all our favorite roads of Los Angeles. Check out the review and see the photos at CycleWorld.com now.

Sounds like Honda did a good job on this one. I dont' know if it necessarily surpasses the ninja yet though.

Nice article. I always liked Hondas...I rode a Honda 400 Hawk across country when I was 18!

Interesting that the CRF230 is listed by Honda as getting better MPG than the CBR250...I figured with the better aerodynamics and EFI the CBR would be rated higher...of course EPA ratings are lower than actual if you drive with economy in mind. Let us know what kind of MPG you get Joe. It sounds like a great little bike!!!

I commute 35miles to/from work on my '90 ninja 250. I've but 20k miles on the bike in the last 3 years, and get a pretty steady 70mpg commuting. It drops to around 60mpg if I'm getting on it... hard to beat!

I really prefer the looks of the ninja but went with cbr because it was cheaper ,better mpg , and its injected. Im tired of dealing with carburetors. Put 400 miles on it since wed. My first tank was 68 mpg. I was taking it easy since it was breaking in and wasnt going over 55.
