Looks nice. Take a wood block and a piece of sandpapare and sand off the paint on the Ford and DOHC emblem

Every car I have owned has had a turbo in it, until I bought this latest festiva.. I plan to fix that though.

could be, it's a stock color, hot rod green. they sell itat wally world . i was really impressed with the shine on the aluminum paint for the exhaust manifold, looks like a mirror! I'm planning on sanding down the valve cover for the ford and dohc logos, just havn't found my sanding block yet. need to clean it up now, damn barn swallows in my garage !

Did you get your block sandblast before the paint?
Is that a Festiva that just passed me?!?!?!

naw i didn't sandblast the block before paint. the engine was virtually brand new and the factory black paint was in supurb condition. so i just paint prepped it, masked it and shot it. i was waaaaay too nervous about getting blast media inside the engine to sandblast it! I imagine aluminum oxide particles wouldn't mix well with my cylinder walls. yeah your right dj lol, luckily the bird didn't crap on the valve cover right after i painted it, it was about a week later so it should have been fully cured. unfortunatly i woke up sick with the flu on saturday so i didn't really get much done on it, short of some more polishing on the intake manifold, halfshafting the VICS system (while i had the intake apart anyway) and ordering some of the little parts that i keep remembering that i need (such as a 3" filter adapter for the VAF since i won't be running a stock style air box). Felt even worse today so with any luck i can get the aspire moved into the garage and the motor mount mocked up by wed.
