  • It don't get more Hillbilly than this.

I'm going with quad roundies in Festus.

The donor car...1962 Fairlane. This is in the front yard of the home place. The Fairlane is the white thang behind the corn likker dispenser :nono:

I'm serious about the roundies...They're going to be awesome.

I'm serious about being a Hillbilly...I took 77 pics of the homeplace yesterday, as time permits, I'll take ya'all on a photo tour.

I got to show the walnut trees I planted 40 years ago (when I was 7).

Here's the hause...it's a double-wide sitting on top of a reinforced concrete bunker, the bunker is about half again as wide as the double wide, so it's...its...i don't know...pretty cool. Bunker sits directly on lime stone bedrock, they couldn't dig no further. Safe from most everything, except an earthquake. Or the tax man.

Here's one of the walnut trees...they're about 45-50 feet tall now. Why the first one leans over, I cannot say. The camera was tilted a little, I'll put a level on the mono pod next time.

Two more before I work on Festus 'till dark.

The walnuts aren't as crooked as the 1st pic shows. They were 12" tall when I planted them and hauled water to them...and hated every minute of it...

except the creek, which is directly behind the camera while the walnuts where being photographed. Was and still is...if ya'all can 'cipher this?

                      I'm pretty sure it's '62 (maybe '63?) Ranch Wagon. I know it's a 221CID V-8 w/a 2speed Fordamatic.

There's a 'was running' 260CID sitting in back with a 3 speed manual. The 260 came out of '64 Fairlane, it has a 5 bolt bellhousing. I don't recall ever acquiring a clutch bellcrank, nor a pedal set-up.

Here's my '52 Studebaker R11 (3/4 ton). I bought this from grandpa's estate sale after he passed away in 1976. He had always promised to give the truck to me, but grandma wouldn't allow that. He gave me $500, before he died, and the other bidders stop at $495.

Dad drove the truck 400 miles while I rode, to get it home. I drove it all around the farm, and then one day, when I was in 8th grade, it stalled. I decided to restore the truck, and proceeded to take it apart. Dad was furious, and would not help me in this enterprise. There it sits. I still have all the parts.
