I'd have to be present when pony express arrived, I live 120 miles away. Do carriers actually palletize and pull motors out of back seats?

        The 260CID backstory

In 1994 I had a beautiful female friend named Jana (whom I still love even though she married a guy I made the mistake of introducing her to).

Jana needed a car. I had $400 dollars. I bought '64 Mercury Comet 2dr post with an extremely worn out 6 banger and this '64 260 V-8 on the side. Here's the kicker to the back story. The car belonged to a NAPA employee, I saw it parked at NAPA in Lawrence (catch that Bobstad).

Jana didn't like the POS Comet, and she said her dad wouldn't let her drive it. Her dad bought her an Escort GT. She married Rob, I moved, was force to sell the Comet because I couldn't afford tags and the folks didn't have enough room for another one of my non-running vehicles. Not enough room? Look at the photos! My dad made me sell my pride and joy '64 GTO in '86, because he didn't have enough room!

That's my side of the back story. He was probably mad because I smoked dope, went to jail every once in awhile, and stuff like that...

But anyway, I did manage to leave the 260 in the back of the Ranch Wagon. The NAPA guy said it ran fine when he pulled it, his intention was to put in the Comet, so I believed him.

native hemp should be an endangered species...
everybody screws with it to "improve" its genetics
but nobody has filed to protect the native plant from
                this serious danger...
both the people that love it and the people that hate
                it are its worst enemy's..

We have 2 other farms in Western Kansas. There's plenty of 'ditch weed' hemp growing out around there.

I don't know anything about growing hemp or marijuana, or cultivating it...I'm mean not enough to actually try it.

I won't be trying to preserve the native species either. Just imagine the legal hassle and effort to prove you weren't going for enhanced THC.

I honestly haven't smoked pot in years. I don't like it.

I have read the book The Emperor's New Clothes. It's fascinating history about hemp, hemp was made illegal so Dupont could market their synthetic fibers.

Ive heard that hemp use to be a major crop around these parts for the rope fiber. You can still see it in fence rows and unused farm lots quite a bit in the summer, it will grow 12' tall. It has almost zero THC content. Still every summer law enforcement makes a big show of cutting it down in a few places while claiming some outragous street valve and pretending they are fighting the war on drugs. I think they do it to get some kind of federal money ?? I just shake my head every time they show it on the local news.
