One of my favorite body styles. Love M5's. Love BMW's actually.
Although, he could have saved the money on rims for the repair bills, IF it was actually an M5, which its not. How do I know? Front bumper, rear bumper and lack of dual pipes on each side in the back.
And those ebay mirrors aren't fooling anybody.

BMDubs are pretty-looking cars no doubt. But to trick one out with pimp-style stuff is contrary to the whole idea of what they were made for. 'Course I'm a redneck but do have had enough experience with their wonderful engines and handling to know "you get what you pay for".
I always wanted an E36, personally. I may still buy one, but by now, most of them are at the "still costs a ton but needs a ton more work" mileage point.
I've found several for $500-$1000 though, and a barebones one would make a nice fixer-upper. They're not the greatest for FE, nor are they terribly luxurious, but they look very clean fixed up.
I'd probably put a diesel in it, anyway. I actually have a bit of a distaste for gasoline engines.
I'm with Jim on this one... I'd rock an old BMW 3 series coup with a 302 swap though...
