  • Dont care, no one has this much bad luck!

So I'm a Marine just got stationed in Hawaii, shipped my Festiva out here from Texas of coarse, everyone tells me why did you send that old car, I tell them wait and see it's gonna be nice, Sure enough a lot of hard work, replaced parts, split knuckles and cash later its running perfect, not a single thing wrong and that's no exaggeration, this thing is seriously as mechanically sound as possible! I have been clay baring and waxing it for so long every weekend its smoooth and the interior is near flawless. So my family is coming to visit me this Wed. and I cant wait to show it off, then a **** pulls into my lane hits me head on... Old guy tried turning into a parking lot, crossed oncoming traffic says he didnt see me...

Wow, that's a great car. Good luck with repairs. I can only hope mine looks half as good after I tend to the rust/paint matching. Again, good luck!

Been there. At the time I was worshiping a brand new CJ-7. I waited at a stop sign for about a minute for all traffic to clear. The little old lady in the very last car put on her turn signal and started to turn, I began moving, but then she changed her mind (wrong street) and pulled back out while still looking to the right.

If you decide to part out your Festiva, let me know, thanks.

I deal with adjusters everyday, but more like giving them truth about the car that
they twist around to screw you.

Start looking for local sales to document the going price for a like car. Local can
be anywhere in the world necessary to document like quality and condition, closest
                first.

Next add up all your recent recites as they should be added to the pay-off value.
Note the labor if you did the labor, the value is the same as if a shop performed
                the job.

As you negotiate remember, the adjuster has a job because he screws you to save the insurance co. money. Lots of money.

thanks for the tips movin, thats what im fearing the most is that guy giving me nothing, i know that here its worth 1,500 on kbb but i didnt think about looking around to see what its worth other places and the receipts. I'm really gonna try to negotiate as much as possible out of him
