    you all are retarded.

he modded that bumper damn good as far as I can see, the sanding/bondo job near the fender looks like it will match great when painted & the center cut will be easy to patch up with some fiberglass & sanding. i've seen a LOT of people modding bumpers like this (mostly protege guys using mirage/sentra/civic bumpers) and i've seen MUCH worse than this.

And do you honestly think you'll get that SR20DET in your car??? good luck dood lol..it won't fit at all i can tell you right now

Well You wanna put some money on this? I could use a free couple hundred bucks what you say?

Thanks, on the bumper just finished it tonight you will be impressed, this I guarantee! Its Primed and ready for paint just one more sanding with 600.

I have all the tools you could ever want, trust me that motor will fit. All post more pics of the motor and drive line tomorrow. If you think that motor won't fit, wait and see what you think on the next pics.

By the way anyone know the stock specs on that motor? Its silly. 227hp and 217 ft torque STOCK 1998 car right from Japan! Stock wont be for long haha. I'm even looking at the Tomei 2.2 stroker kit. you thought 88festivaGTR was crazy.

        Thanks

Some like the body kit treatment, some think it amounts to complete lack of style that doesn't go with the car. Hardly retarded, just differences of opinion.

Well You don't state your opinion like this!

"not to mention how gay it looks."

I wouldn't even say that to you, about your attempt to make a fast Festiva.

Sure the battle will consist of a 1/4 mile followed by a road course. Good Luck!

Evo don't be so sensitive over things said about your car. Most people offline do not make negative statements in immediate vicinity of someone that might take offense, but count on some will. I take it in stride.

I had someone come into the shop today that flat out said " what the hell is this SHIT ? ", looking at my Festiva.

So I pointed to this old Pontiac Tempest " This is going to be a Pro-Street car "

Anywhere, open criticism of a person's car is not a worthy pursuit of mine. I choose not to, not that it has anything to do with good or bad.

I personally do have respect for any effort that results in a truly fast car.

Sounds like a recipe for One Lap of America. If you are building your car to such a high state of tune as you claim, have you thought of actually competing in such a sanctioned event as this?. Hoping to see another Festiva appearance ( last was one of the Shoguns, which did not fare all that well from a class perspective )

What me? Road course? Bwa ha ha ha. Be awhile yet, too many irons in the fire.

Good luck. I don't want to be the only guy w/ a swap like mine. I want to see 30 other festiva's with motors like mine. They'll give me ideas

Good luck w/ the swap. I hope to see ya at a meet. We can race, that will be fun!

Personally, I've never had anything against a simple ricey look. I do believe that it can be taken too far though (see: sticker tuning and double decker spoilers). I think the bumper looks good. Definately looks less like a festiva and more like a sport compact now.

That front bumper looks alot better now. That intercooler though.... That got to be bigger than the radiator!! Looks nice sitting in that opening. Are you going to anything to protect it from rocks, because that what the mitsubishi guys complain about with the intercooler that low.
