I can personally attest to the idea that speeding is bad...
As someone who spend 13 DAYS in county jail, after not paying a ticket I received for "Public Display of Speed". I was doing 126 in a 75 in the middle of nowhere on Christmas night. I was driving my 1988 Mercury Tracer (323 style), with the MIGHTY B6. When approached the officer asked if I knew how fast I was going, and was not happy when I snickered and told him that I didn't, because my speedo only went to 85. I called and made a payment on the $300+ ticket, and was told by the lady at the courthouse, that as long as I didn't get pulled over within 5 miles of that counties courthouse, that theyd never hold me for it. Fast forward 3 years later I got pulled over. Turns out the judge from the county 3 years earlier was at a courts conference, and I either had to wait, or pay $6000 cash only to get out. I spent 13 days in jail. I had 3 cell mates. One sold crack to children, one had killed a cop and tried to give me ladies deodorant, and the last one had stolen his mothers jewelry to buy meth. I haven't had a speeding ticket since... So I guess if you DO speed, PAY THE TICKET!
