  • Pictures I would like to See

It would be nice if we had:

One Photo Gallary which had one folder with pictures of each Festiva by Year Model Type (in North America).
    Example 1988L, 1988LX, 1989LCarb, 1989LXCarb, 1889LEFI, 1989LXEFI, 1990L, 1990LPLUS, 1990LX (rare) 1991GL, 1991L etc.
Looks like to me in total there would be 15 folders for North America.

After being populated, each folder would contain pictures showing multiple views of a non-modified Festiva representing that particular year/make/model/type.
Members could submit photos of their vehicles and the forum team could choose the one vehicle that shows the most representative details of that particular make model type to go in the representative folder (or members could upload to a holding area to be voted on by the total membership / with a deadline for submission and voting).
This would require a little work, but in the end it would be a great reference for everyone on fordfestiva.com.

This would give us one place to get a general idea of the different changes in looks over the 5 years. (May Aspires too?)

    What do you think?
Would anyone else like to see this?

Does such a thing already exist and I don't know about it? (Old Ford material maybe?)

You have 90' LX's as being rare?? My festiva is a 90' LX, I don't consider them rare, a festiva GTX or GTA, now those are rare

    1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
    1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

relatively speaking, yes Chris, the 90LX is rare. Remember, the GTX and GTA were never sold in the US, so they're made of unobtanium for us.

I was using the numbers from the following post. It shows only about 559 1990 LX's as of 2010.
(I also sent this table of numbers to my insurance claims rep to support my statement about why the remaining ones are rare.)

Re: Pictures I would like to See

I had thought it would be cool to have a 3D model of a bone-stock Festiva that you could change the trim level on like the dealers, but do so much more like when you click on the rear wiper, it would open an info box that included all available info for Rear Wiper, including mods! If you click on the bumpers, you could choose between stock unpainted, stock painted, FMS, or GTX bumpers. Plus info on where bolts are to remove them, etc. It would take a ton of work but I know it could prove highly beneficial, especially if you could watch how the mod was done as it was being changed by your selection.

I think your idea falls above the "That's the stupidest thing I've ever seen" line.

This is a really cool idea!

Add my idea to have dancing girls and/or UFOs on demand as well!

Then we can work on virtual repair problems, how to diagnose them, and then the illustrated, step by step fix!!

Finally, ice water deliveries to you know where would wrap things up nicely.

All it will take is a little more work.
