  • Colorizing a Watanabe

This is an actual size of a 13"x5.5" Watanabe mags wrapped in a 165/65 13 tires. I very like this mags. It is lightweight and the look is not fading. This is how it will look like on my white car. I play the mags with the colors I wanted to it. I did some simple photoshops.

I'm always a fan of Hot Pink!

Though the tealish green looks good and so does the black.

Black. It brings the visual weight of the windows back down to make it look scary fast.

Bronze, but I have a suggestion. Polish the rim. Even if you go with black spokes, it has no depth in a solitary color. The teal looks ok, and the pink is also nice, but without accents on the body, they seem out of place. I look forward to seeing the finished product.

I vote for gold or the lighter gray.....but I agree with the polished lip comment. I don't mind black wheels, but if they're so dark that they disappear in the tire, I don't like it. Maybe a "black chrome" so they stand out.

Gross! I hate polished lips! It's going to boil down to do what you wanna do. Everyone has different views. Definitely do what you like best or you'll hate yourself for following what a few people on the forum thought was best!

Thank you all for your comments. I was just dreaming of that mags. If I would be having a spare mags and I have a stock room for my car stuffs, I would like to have this one for my everyday use. Since I have a photoshop skill too, colorizing is not a problem as much as I want as well other mags that I aspire too. For now, polished mags is my thing as you can see on mine. I just want it to look simple and clean w/ a touch of class. Stancing is also a thing nowadays, and those types majority are the ones used.

For the Watanabe and for me,it looks best with one color only to make it more big looking. having a lip makes it small. If you want to look safe, you can go with their stock colors like the black, gold, bronze,or grey. If you want to look sporty and trendy and wild, you can have the flashy colors like lime green, teal, yellow etc.

on your car I would go medium green or check out Tiffany green. If I ever paint my festiva white I will be going with a neon orange rim....
