Looks like a Dodge Daytona, Ford Escort, and Ford Pinto
Edit: Oh wow, I didn't even read the text with the 3rd pic. Guess it's the Mercury variant. The Bobcat! Cool! I'd love to have a Bobcat or Pinto Wagon with the Porthole window in the back!
With those pix you have GOT to be in your forties, at least....am I right?
First girl I EVER had a crush on had a mom who owned a Ford Pinto. Same body color. I had a paper route and would see it parked out in front of their apartment every day. The license plate on the car was PPL-510.
Some things you never forget, ya know?
Kim Taylor, if you're out there in the world somewhere, I still love you! :tongue3:

Pinto all-glass hatch! Mine was a two tone 80 with 4 speed and deluxe cloth seats and gauge package. I had plans to (try to) swap a 2.8 Capri V6 into it once it was 'put out to pasture' in the early 90s but marriage and arrival of first and then second child put an end to all of that. Car is still out there, apparently, at the local dragstrips and with something way bigger than the 2.3 four-banger that was originally in it. For all the s&*t that consumer guide heaped on those cars (exploding gas tanks, for one) I still think it was one of the best cars I've ever owned. Easy to work on, rack and pinion steering, good on gas, lots of leg and headroom, ample storage and rock steady on the highway.
silver car against curb in second pic looks like a Dodge Omni Charger. And across the street in the driveway in the first pic; a '79-'82 Mustang and an Aries K wagon.

People are getting excited about 'junk' from the late 70s early 80s??? That was about as unexciting a time in automotive history as I can think of. The 'new' Toyota Tercel was the one I went for at the time because it had a 5 speed and wasn't squared-off like all the others.
Bert, you seem to enjoy "bucking the trend," as it were, concerning your taste in vehicles. I am right alongside you concerning the Tercel, but for different reasons. I enjoy shoehorning larger, more capable engines into smaller cars, while not exceeding the capacity of that vehicle, much like the situation with my wife's Festiva (B6). The Tercel is one of those candidates: Unassuming, and can surprise you.
In love with a MadScientist!:thumbright: There's a fine line between breathtaking ingenuity and "That's the stupidest thing I've ever seen!"
