  • Near new Maverick

On the way home from a job, I happened to pass this mom and pop small car lot out in the middle of nowhere but my eye did catch this White gem with just over 25 k on the clock, enjoy. 5K buys it and its just like new, iirc its a 76 I know the pix could be better.

I bought a '76 4door Comet (same car) back in 1990 to use as a beater car. It had a 302/C4 and would burn tire for over a block. Have it to my sister to drive, then she got married and divorced and gave it to her ex-husband in the settlement. He drove it for several years, then bought a Jeep and gave the Comet back to me. It was rusted to nothing, so I pulled the motor and scrapped the body. I tore the motor down and it actually had a Mexican cast 302 block, which is worth several hundred bucks. SCORE!

Mexican cast 302 block is kind of hard to find at least in my neck of the woods

I've only seen two. My brother had one that he sold at a swap meet for $250 that was bored .030 and needed bored again. The other is the one that was in the Comet, LOL. I've heard they can be found in the odd applications like vans or sometimes when Ford did a factory service replacement. Mine will be made into a 347 stroker with 2V Cleveland heads....someday.

I like it but the two extra doors would have to go for me, I am normally a fan of four doors but not this one
