  • Ohiostiva 2013 Pic thread (Summer)

I took a couple pics at Ohiosteva, if you missed it, you REALLY missed it. We had 10 cars but only 9 made it to the park, Jake88maro left his car at summit, he's having issues with keeping tires on it Haha..

I didn't get pics while we were at Summit, but these are pics from the convoy en route to Moriane State Park. We hung out at summit until about 12:30/1. We had a potential new Festiva owner show up in a vette, one of Jakes buddies. He got a chance to check out some nice festivas and see what it is we do to these cars that makes them so fun! There were 6 cars, festys and aspires, all together aT Summit+ bhazard brought his f2T mx6 and FastorBust came in his new Mazda2.

There were 3 guys who stopped by in a Chevy that had trouble finding the turbo on festevil3's car hahaa, they went nuts when we showed them where its hidden behind a chopped muffler!

After we got to the park we Hung out and talked cars for awhile, there was a 95 SE aspire that I still can't get over, this car wasn't clean, it was IMMACULATE! It looked like it literally just rolled off the showroom floor. The owner brought his wife out and they were a really nice couple. Inside and out you could tell they just have a really good eye for attention to detail. Haha, would the owner of this aspire please step forward, I didn't get your screen name while we were there!

Pics of FastorBust and his nice new Mazda2, he brought the 2 this time next time he's bringing a bpt Festy?!? Haha maybe!

Then I was walking around and saw this..what is that? Haha, its Rocketman doing what he does with an ecu! Right in the parking lot! Sitting in the front seat of his car!!!!! He desoldered the stock chip from brads mx6 ecu, then resoldered a socket and stuck his own custom tuned chip in the hole! I snapped pics of bhaz taking pics of Matt(Rocketman) doing his thing, The guy in the background is one of Matts buddies who swears he's buying a Festiva, a Capri, and making a b3 capri and b6t Festy Haha..

I got to take a test run in this car after the new chip was put in, it pulls hard, real hard. A mid/high 14 second car all day long.

The whole day was a blast for me, there were nice cars, fast cars, very nice very fast cars, then there was ...Fiona!! My new Festy, which isn't nice, and it isn't fast, but she's mine and I Love her as much as the next.

Speaking of Fiona, BobbySpider hooked everybody up with decals, everybody that posted they were attending on the list anyway, so my little Fiona got a sweet new tattoo! She's a dirty little girl right now with a fresh tramp stamp, but it won't be like that for long!

Thanks Bobby these are really sweet, I can't wait to get the ones put on babyspire and kiazord!!

I'll get some good closer up shots later today, they really turned out nice.

Arty installed a new CD player in his car while we were there, I was probably too busy fondling the SE aspire with my eyes to get a picture.

We did the raffle midway through the day, Karl, Saftey Guy, with the assistance of Matt, Rocketman, pulled the tickets and raffled off some really sweet stuff! There was a white tach cluster with LEDs installed, a like new dash(no Haha, no title with it, Jake and arty had to pull the vin plate lol) Rocketman kicked in a custom cast ITB manifold for a BP, I think Karl referred to it as an ocular focul bifoculus for 2?! Something like that? A couple really nice CUSTOM keychains supplied by Karl that won't be found anywhere else! There was a cold air intake setup with the VAF attached, a camshaft shift knob, and a couple money prizes at the end! I'm sure I'm forgetting a couple things that were raffled off....I came home with the BP intake, dash, and a keychain!!

After everybody had left it was just Matt(Rocketman), his buddy, Brad Hazard, and myself.. we had some fun lighting exhaust gasses on fire when Matt broke out his torch haha, I'll try to get a video uploaded later, my poor little Fiona hit the rev limiter twice oh well, she made flames! We did that and were messing with Brads mx6 until Jake called. He and Kevin(festevil3) had ridden back to Summit together to pick up Jakes car, well I guess they were putting somebodys car to shame doing about 110 when the potato decided to blow out! He had oil spewed everywhere in the engine bay comming out of the catch can! IIRC they ended up putting 6 QTS of oil back in haha... brad and I went on a rescue mission when we got the call but about halfway there they had already got the car running good enough to make it home.

We stopped over at Jakes anyway to check the damages and hang out for a minute. While we were there one of Jakes buddies that was at the meet stopped over in his built Honda...it's already 10pm and there's people going by jakes every 3-4 minutes stopping doing burnouts or rolling smoke out of a jacked up truck or stopping by to talk...those guys up north don't quit.

Anyway, back to the Honda, this thing was just SICK. When he first got there he went in jakes garage and pulled out a new box of parts to replace one of his NOS injection solenoids. While he was doing that Jake showed us the new heads still mounted to the block on the engine stand for the Honda that should be going on soon(this week?) and Kevin got a taste for the horrors we face daily up here while Jake and I pulled the axles from his new Rio swap. Those axels were stuck pretty good, but not the worst I've seen hahaha..

After the Nitrous solenoid was replaced and everything got put back together I got to be the test dummy! I'm telling you what, I don't know the first thing about nitrous...wet, dry, 50, 100, 5000 shot...whatever... but when you push a button and inject 210HP worth of nitrous into an engine already pushing 300, nothing really matters anymore. This car is just stupid fast. Literally could NOT have grabbed a hundred dollar bill off the dash while accelerating. We were doing 60, he hit the button and spun tires clear through 70 MPH and the speedo jumped up over 100 before I could even realized the needle had moved.

The engine is ran off a Megasquirt unit under the passenger seat and two bottles mounted in the rear floorboards..

Not only is this car fast, it looks nice too. My phone is junk so I couldn't get a good pic, but seriously this is one nice ride. Custom bent PERFECTLY matched induction lines to a custom CNC machined distribution block. This guy knows his stuff. He was telling me that when he pushes the button for NOS it sends a .5v signal to the ECU(like WOT but set up for much more power than just NA WOT) that changes the fuel maps in the MS unit to run the nitrous. Rev limiter was 7100 IIRC.

A couple more pics of that honda, I don't even know what it was so hopefully Jake has more pics to throw up here I'd really like to see them, there wasn't much light last night

At the end of the day everybody got home safe, Brad didn't get home till around 3, I didn't get home till about 2:30 but it was totally worth the butt chewing I got when I stepped in the door hahahahahhahhaaa..

I really gotta give props to Jake, he hooked me up with some gauges and hoses for my oxy/propane and acetaline tanks, the old rio axels he isn't going to use that were in his rio knuckles, and a Nitrous ride in that Honda. Even NA it had a problem with traction.

Thanks for the good time guys, I hope to see you all next time, and maybe more!

seems like everyone but me wants them. i hate them and im never putting 15s on a festiva again lol i want some widened steelies or some diamond 14" anything that looks good as a 14 and is at least 6.5" wide and had 2 good tires . why only 2 good tires you ask, because i have 2 good 14s in the boom boom room and im willing to settle for the bare minimum trade just to get rid of them. heck id even take some 13s if they were at least 7" wide and had tires that could hold air. thanks for letting me get that off my chest i feel better now

Brad (bhazard) all green google-ly eyed:

Dave and Wendy's Aspire at the top of the lineup:

And Rocketman Matt sure had a load of parts!

We've had bigger meets, since this time several regulars couldn't make it, but we had a good time and the day was perfect. Not too hot; not too cold.

                              Just Goldilocks!
