  • Big Burger

The wife and I were in northern Iowa yesterday and while headed home we decided it was time to eat, you see I don't mis many meals, so we stopped in a small town called Conrad, filled the Festy and while paying for the gas I asked the lady behind the counter if there was a café in town and she said yes so she gave us directions and we headed up town and this is the burger they are known for and yes I ate it all, it was made from Angus beef with some extra seasonings it was great. the pic's are not in the order I asked for but you get the idea.

That made me hungry. There's a place close by here that has a half cow burger. 2 pound patty cooked on a smoker. Have to order it 24 hrs in advance.

I've eaten at a number of great places around there. There is also a great restaurant in Montezuma, or the buffet in Waterloo is on three floors.
If you enjoy corn fed Iowa beef, then you can grill your own steak around the pit at Rube's in Montour.

Brave your endless travels amaze me, yes Rubes of Montour have Great steaks, their Iowa corn fed Angus stakes are a real treat. Have you been to their other location in Barns city.

We made burgers this weekend at a friends house. 1lb of meat per burger, frozen pizzas (pepperoni for me) for buns, fried ravioli, fried cheese sticks, olives, pepper jack cheese, ketchup, mayo, sandwich sliced pickles, and I know I am forgetting some stuff. Cost us about $60 for 3 burgers and they were pretty good, buddy managed to eat his in about 5hours, brother ate about half, and I still have 2/3 of mine (and I am the second biggest lol)

The Burger starts out at 2 pounds precooked, no idea of the cooked weight, I finished the burger and all I can say is, i'm still full.

Whether it’s our hand-pressed, never frozen beef patties, scratch-made onion rings or our homemade chili, if it’s on a Fatburger, you know it’s the best.

Peanut butter & jam bun burger. Deep fried kettle chip coated PB&J sandwiches are buns, banana-sriacha marinated juicy beef patty, applewood bacon on top.

I'm sorry. Is it lunch time already?
