Greetings folks to both everyone on FF.com & FA.com.

Been looking for a Festiva/Aspire as a work car for a few weeks now & just acquired, so doing the intro thing.

I'm "Miah" from South KC, MO. area & brought home a 96 Aspire 4dr/auto yesterday.

From the shear amount of dirt & rodent crap it appears to be a country person's work car, so not treated the best & needs lots of lil interior bits & eventually some bumper replacements to get it into acceptable shape. I'll be on the hunt for some of that before too long

Here are some "before" shots of how it looked right after purchase.

Welcome! I am about to cut apart a 94 4 door, so I might have some parts for you, and I am going to be selling them absolutely dirt cheap, like $10 or less

I'll keep that very much in mind. Needing fiddly bits like a center console that goes around e-brake, fuse panel cover, ashtray, fan speed knob, etc.

Heh. If I have it all, or part, ten bucks, new member special, you pay shipping Any other fiddiling bits you need that I have and will fit in the same box, yours too. This thing was nothing but a beat up and abused suspension swap for me, I would rather see a member get the stuff than the scrapper.

                    Thanks for the welcomes.

Haven't had much time to do anything beyond asking for vacuum leak advice & ordering in some parts so far. Picked up brakes & rear wheel bearings/seals today. Haynes book is on order & scheduled for tomorrow. Had to dig thru my meager collection of tools for 1/2 drive metric sockets & ratchet since PO warped the OEM lug wrench(might add that to my wanted list).

Also if anyone noticed that the RSFR tire seems to be more visible than the rest...yeah. PO put 185/80/13s on car, then blew out 1 & put original 165/70/13 on that corner. Fortunately the friend who helped me retrieve the car had 3 near new takeoff 175/70/13s off a mid-90s Nissan Altima. Hoping I get lucky & his wheels happen to be same dimensions on lugs & center, otherwise I'll have to remount.

Altima is actually one of the relatively few cars that used to share a bolt pattern with the festiva (4x114.3) back in the 90's. So sadly the tires will need to be remounted on Aspire 4x100 wheels. Nice 5door aspire though, I wouldn't mind having one, but my wife won't hear of it she prefers wagons over 5 door hatches lol.
                      No festiva for me ATM...

I like the telescoping lug wrenches (Gorilla brand?) from Wal-Mart. About $17 or so, and includes all four common lug sockets.

Tomfromsomewhereoranother: May go by & check on those later today, recall a friend sure liked his.

Did the informal vacuum test on my FPR today & got a little fuel spitting out the top, so looks like I'll need to snag one soon-ish. Always something.
