  • After i bought the Sport

So on the way home from buying the Sport I stopped at the PnP and this is what I found, what a shame to see this nice car there. Plenty of good parts to be had, good 12" tires that I really need. The blurry pic should read 85k for miles, the speedo is still hooked to the trans so it could be true.

Jeeze! That looks better than my parts cars!!!

It always kills me to see such a nice car on death row :gritteeth:

I need to hit the lottery so I can buy a black helicopter with a large electromagnet attached to the bottom.

What a shame. Looks rust free and with low dentage. Probably just stopped running due to some little electronic part and the owner decided to "get a new car."

I did ask and no, once it's in the yard there's no coming back. Safety Guy your right, the fuseable links had duct tape wrapped around them so off came the tape the fuse block had broken and I figure the owner had no idea how to fix it, what a shame and far better than the Sport I just bought. RIP.

I'll bet he would talk for a $1500 offer. Well worth it. It would have at least another 100 to 125k trouble free miles left in it.

That little guy looks fantastic! WHY would someone sell a car easily worth $1k-1500 (not running in that nice shape!!) for $200 or less?!?!

Go back, check the car, get the VIN, find the people. We shall riot.

I feel your pain. There are half a dozen rust free, clean festivas being crushed this month in the Phoenix area alone and nobody to stop this lunacy. Supposedly recycling is good for the environment, but I don't see it. I think it's good for auto manufacturers bottom line. Imagine how much energy goes into all the processes in making a new car for each american every 3-4 years (the schedule they seem to be pushing). Now compare that to the energy that it takes to keep an 'ol festy puttering along happily. Even a prius has more of a carbon footprint just sitting in the showroom than all 5 of my festivas combined (combined, they have over 100 years of reliable service under their belts and they are still ticking along with less material costs and energy used to build than any new car). This gets me hot under the collar.
