Hey guys and gals. Just wanted to introduce myself and my Aspire.
My name is James and I live in Phoenix. I used to own two Festiva's, a '90 and '91 that were the same Smurf Blue. One ended up getting totaled out after being backed into, and I sold the other to Wes Shull in Tuscon. I'd been looking for a replacement Festiva for a while, but nothing really in my price range. I found a '95 Aspire listed on Craigslist for $200. It's a little rough looking inside and out, but runs good. Why so cheap then? Well the Aspire's transmission didn't want to come out of 4th gear.
So after replacing the locks (car didn't have a key), and swapping out a tranny and clutch set she is back on the road again.
Here are a couple of pics I took when I first brought her home...
As for the direction of my Aspire, it's still up in the air right now. I'm working towards getting the car whole again by replacing the fender, hood, bumper and windshield. I also have to replace all of the rear glass as it is plexiglass right now. Sometimes you wonder what the previous owner was thinking.
