  • autocross.

went to autocross today. was a beautiful day, couldn't have asked for better weather. turn out was the biggest they have ever had at 153 racers. After staying in 4th place out of 21 people in the highest mod rookie class i ended up in 8th at the end of the day after last runs some people decided to kick it up a notch. i still had a great time, got to really push my car and see what it can do cornering wise. I realized i need to do some thing about the roll of the car as you can see in the pictures so i gota come up with some thing for the sway bar in the front and hopefully the aspire rear end will make a huge difference.

Aside from loving the racing i got soooo many comments on my car today, every body was coming up and asking about it and saying how they loved it cause they couldn't believe a festiva was beating sti's left and right at autocross  . One thing i realized that is the total down fall of my car (aside from driver) is.... MY BRAKES... go figure.

These are pictures im getting off of the autocross website so more might come as they get more pictures from other people!

    Enjoy!

If you look reallllllly hard you can see the festiva

That does look like a ton of fun. I really should learn how to do that some day. If I ever get my Festie in decent shape

packrat- thanks, yes i love auto-crossing so much, hence the reason i built the car

Skeeter- yeah i am surprised i did so well with the stock brakes too. It really is silly cause the brakes are so pathetic but if you really really stomp on them you can slow down. I am not able to lock up the brakes though so that should say something.

            matt- shut up

paul- it really isn't hard! there are lots of first timers that go and have the best time ever! Every one says they don't want to try it cause they will never remember the coarse but once you walked it and see cars do it it really isn't to hard! for 25$ its hard to find such a fun time... unless you buy a hooker but that doesn't count.

p.s. matt- it was so funny i was talking to some guy who had a bpt swap in his escort and he started talking this white festiva with the bpt and a huge fmic and i was like HEY i know that guy, his name is matt and he sucks at life.
