The wind and an elm tree attempted to murder Festdiva today but failed. Thank goodness for steel trusses. Wind advisory still in effect though.

On closer inspection the tree landed on a steel truss and wrinkled the webbing some. Now to figure out how to get the tree off without doing more damage. It's kind of embedded in the eave. I'm debating on calling the insurance company.

Glad to see that none of your immaculate Festivas were damaged. Good luck getting that tree of your building and any damage repaired. Fire up that chain saw! :-)88L - 'Twistiva' - 'The Fusion of Man and Machine'

Glad to see Festdiva was not hurt, she is quite an item on this site and to anyone who has not seen her, well this car is just that damn good. Fresh I am curious, what kind of tree is this, there is virtually no root ball. Good luck with cutting up the tree, I'm kinda worried that it might rotate when you get into trimming it from the top and change the weight distribution. good luckAn idea can turn to dust or magic, depending on the talent that rubs against it.

Yeah, what Karl said.
Going to be tricky, I had a similar issue some years ago.
Lots of careful planning after each cut and worked out OK.

I think it would be ok to check into the insurance but I would probably just take care of it myself and keep those people off my property, besides I have a $1000 dollar deductible. Good luckAn idea can turn to dust or magic, depending on the talent that rubs against it.
